Mohringer Hexle - Stuttgart

Met my wife's aunt for dinner. My MIL was with us (Aunts sister). These are 2 older southern German girls. I had the schnitzel with potato salad. Larger portion. Awesome. The other 3 (my wife also) had the Maultaschen. My wife loved it. My MIL and Aunt thought it was OK. Perhaps age lessens taste buds. Servers were nice and some spoke English. They serve beer and wine. Pay as you leave at the register. Clean and a bit elegant. As with many German places the bathroom is downstairs. We stayed at the hotel and it is convienant.

With my work colleagues, we chose this restaurant adjacent to the hotel where we stayed. The reception was very good and the atmosphere pleasant. From the menu I expected a wider choice, especially of vegetarian dishes. The dishes were well prepared, the service good and the staff friendly. Prices above average are not justified.

The Rostbraten was the best I've ever had. The prices were reasonable, the service was excellent, and it exceeded my expectations. Highly recommended.

Mega food! Ambiente is something for 80s fans.
