Service was very friendly and quick (ungerman like ). Food was tasty and very reasomably priced. The location is nice, close to a large square and shopping for a nice stroll after finiahing up.
Nice place in the city centre with good service. All the menu is based on local food. However, dishes are just OK. I recommend this place if you are looking a place near the centre and want to try some local food.
The Ochs'n Willi at the Stuttgart Schlossplatz is an middle to upmarket restaurant with Suebian and Bavarian cuisine and according Beers and Wines. Guests are typically tourists or business groups with guests from abroad or also Stuttgart groups searching for typical Southern German Food.Reliable service and food quality, nothing towards the heights of gourmandise, Michelin stars or Gault-Millau toques, but fair quality of typical bourgeoise and standard cuisine of southern Germany. You get what you expect, not less, not more.A safe bank for your business guests, without ruining your budget, a nice atmosphere inside and no escapades towards real gourmet cuisine and similar chi-chi!
Apart from the waitress getting my order wrong it was a nice cosy eatery - mixed locals and tourists . The food was nice.
You can't go wrong with this restaurant one of the best finds my husband loves the knuckle German dish with Sauerkraut which this is the best place in Stuttgart for it! The staff go out of they're way to look after you booking is advisable especially at weekends! But don't tell everyone as I want to get in next time we go to Stuttgart! Btw I had the Ribs with Jacket Potatoe and Coleslaw which was a huge dish and not expensive!
