Tonkatsu by Ma Maison exclusively serves up a variety of Tonkatsu dishes; breaded deep-fried pork cutlets that are popular in Japan while uses only the highest grade ingredients from the Hire (fillet) to the Rosu (loin) and all prepared to perfection, its juicy and tender meat is the result of Ma Maison’s own preparing method.
In my opinion, the fried meat felt a little too dry? But along with the the soup and the provided sauce everything tasted well. Also, I love the wasabi!!The service was an A+ and the waiters approach you to ask if you want refills on anything. Super duper friendly!
Although many Tonkatsu place has opened in Malaysia, Ma Maison has always been my ultate favorite. Crispy breaded skin with juicy pork meat, topped with an unlimited amount of multi grain rice and cabbage, you will leave with an fully content heart and stomach. You have to mix all the sauces together, with a little experimentation here and there to discover the combination which best suits your taste buds. The staffs were also very attentive to our needs, and smiling a lot gave extra points! :
Tonkatsu is no longer a new thing around Malaysia, but I only get to try it recently. LOL There’s more and more shops that sell katsu-kind of Japanese meal now. Tonkatsu is basically a breaded, deep-fried pork cutlet that served with shredded cabbage. There’s a lot of good review about Tonkatsu by Ma Maison. So here I am. For the first timer, you must be wondering, why is there so many kind of bottles on the table. Fear not because they will display the instruction notes on each table as well. But if you are too shy to read there (because it is a menu holder), then read here.
