King's Head Inn - Suffolk Coastal

Despite booking a table upon arrival no table was available, staff had to ask a gentleman to move so a table near the bar could be utilised. This was not idea as bar was very busy and people were constantly knocking into my chair. Drinks order was taken but no drinks appeared, after about 15 minutes we were asked if we were ready to order but had not yet been given a menu! After another 15 minutes still no drinks or no order taken, we decided to leave. Obviously they were suffering from a staff shortage but we would not have minded waiting if we had been given a proper table in the restaurant section.

I have been a resident of Woodbridge for 20 years, and this pub has consistently ranked in my top three favorite pubs in Suffolk. During my recent visits, the staff have been extremely friendly and hospitable. I always look forward to starting a pub crawl here and often end up staying until closing time. I highly recommend this pub for anyone visiting Woodbridge, as it is conveniently located in the town center and easily accessible.

We decided to visit after Deben Inns had bought this establishment. We were pleasantly surprised by the appearance of the restaurant as well as the lovely staff that greeted us. Throughout, the food was sublime and cantered perfectly for my dairy allergy as well as the staff being attentive, friendly yet professional. Will definitely be visiting again very soon.

The food at this restaurant is excellent with a great selection. The salmon dish was especially tasty. The only downside was the wait staff, as we had to search for them to place our drink and food orders. Despite this, we will be returning because the food is truly excellent. Hopefully, the service will improve in the future.

Great atmosphere, excellent staff, very friendly welcoming, fantastic chef too... I had the most amazing roast... gf gravy and gf Yorkshire pudding with a side order of gf cauliflower cheese. It was the best roast dinner I have had in a very long time, I'll definitely go back again.
