Marble Slab Creamery - Sugar Land

This restaurant has been around since the original Colony Commons over 20 years ago. I absolutely love their ice cream cake, and they often feature some unique flavors. I've never had a bad experience there, even during the challenging times of the pandemic.

A couple of weeks ago, I visited this place with a friend for some ice cream since we were nearby. I didn't have high expectations, just the usual marble plate experience. However, the young man working there was incredibly polite and went above and beyond to make our visit enjoyable. And yes, I truly mean "incredible."

I hadn't been to Marble Slab in years, so I was thrilled to find they were still open after the pandemic. I ordered my usual favorite—sweet cream with Oreos on a waffle cone—and it was just as delicious as I remembered. I’ve always appreciated how they mix in the toppings, and it was still a fun experience. However, I was a bit frustrated that my wife ordered the exact same thing as me. I enjoy trying different flavors, and she denied me that pleasure. To make things worse, she finished everything! They still have benches and tables outside where you can sit and enjoy your treats, which is a nice touch. Overall, Marble Slab is just as great as I remembered it to be.

The restaurant offers a selection of cakes stored in their freezer. I've included some video showcasing the various flavors they have available. Both individuals and groups visit this location, which is situated at the corner of the shopping center. There's certainly a high volume of foot traffic, with many people coming and going.

The restaurant is very clean, and the staff is friendly, likely including the owner. It’s a cheerful place to enjoy a delicious treat. I love watching them prepare the food right in front of you, and they mix everything to your liking. Great job, staff!
