The soup dumplings was below average; the skin is so thick and the big chunk of meat just doesn't do it. The shrimp dumpling, Ha Cao, skin were separated when i got home, the Xiu mai is so below average, etc. Every dishes were below average or just bad. There are time i spent over a thousands dollars for a dinner here and I just couldn't believe the dim sum was so underwhelm.
Horrible! The food was okay, but the restaurant was unclean, unprofessional, and unfriendly. The turntable was sticky, and the floor was poorly cleaned and sticky too. It took a long time to get our order in because the staff were too busy talking to their friend customers and nobody came over to us even after raising our hands for a long time. Every time somebody bought a roasted duck dish, the staff would turn off the lights, surprising us and made us stop and pause because we could not see what we were in front of us, which was quite unpleasant because we had to do something right after dinner. The staff had us help them clean up the table, and afterwards, tried to scam us by putting a dish we didn’t order on the receipt. They made it very obvious that this wasn’t an accident, and when we were leaving, a staff member asked us “did you pay yet?” 1 star, never coming back again!
The food was acceptable, but the dining experience was disappointing due to the environment. We were unpleasantly surprised to find dirty dishes left next to our table, and the owner rang a loud bell unexpectedly, which was both annoying and disruptive. We do not plan to return.
The best Cantonese cusine in Houston. The owner is from Toronto. He brought a lot of Toronto Cantonese cuisine to Houston.
Food is good but not cheap. The restaurant dim (or turn off) the light whenever they were presenting the peking duck dish... it was fun the first few times... but not the at almost every 10 minutes... all other customers got tired of it.
