Opposite Salamanca market in the midst of fancy schmancy cafes with prices only starting from 15 bucks and above, this place offers cheaper options but the food you get in return is grossly undervalue I ordered scrambled eggs on toast and the wholemeal bread was stale and definitely home brand. The scrambled eggs appeared to taste like powdered eggs and their tomato relish was definitely ketchup. My friend got their breakfast focaccia with bacon and other fried things and loved it. The other friend got a mushroom stack with salsa and barely touched her meal. I would rather pay exorbitant prices in Hobart than ever visit here again.
We eat here almost weekly and definitely recommend it. The food is reasonably priced and every meal we have had has been very good. The breakfast special at $10 is a favourite! Coffee is good and the hot chocolate is very nice. Will certainly come back here.
Undoubtedly the worst meal I have ever had down at Salamanca! the salad items were stale to the point of being turned, the accompanying Smiths plain chips as a side was ridiculous, the entire pulled pork burger was drowned in some smoky BBQ sauce, possibly to disguise age. They wont see myself or my daughters back there !!
A pleasant cafe on Salamanca Square. The outdoor area is much nicer than the indoor part of the cafe. I ordered a big breakfast, which was lovely: eggs poached beautifully, good helping of mushrooms, decent sausage, tomato, bacon, sourdough, and a lovely tomato relish. It came very quickly. However, my coffee didn't come until after I'd finished my meal. And the place was, at best, half full. The coffee was not brilliant, but still very solid. If it weren't for the delay in bringing the coffee, it would've gotten more of a rating.
