Incredible place! The food and the staff make it like home. You will not find food this good anywhere else

We had lunch at Phil's and to say we were stuffed when we left is an understatement. I know a lot of people don't like liver and onions but I'm a big fan and this is the best I've had in ages. Huge portions and fantastic cornbread and sweet tea. My wife had rhe chicken tenders, fried okra and pinto beans, she had to take half of it to go. Highly recommend this place.

Small homey restaurant with fair prices and fairer portion sizes. Staff is friendly, prompt, and know the menu front to back to get you the best bang for your buck. Great place to slow down have a much needed meal before hitting the road again. A word of warning, one... ONE hotcake is enough.

The food was great. The waitress was very good. Really enjoyed it. The portions were big.

Service and atmosphere was great that is why I give it a 2 over all. My wife ordered the 2 eggs meat special. She ordered 3 eggs to be pouched and it appears they may have been over cooked in a microwave it was very rubber like. Her bacon was just short of being blackened. I chose the same special with out any extra eggs. The portions are large I got at least 3 eggs if not more I asked for over medium half were hard. The menu differentiate between Cream gravy and Sausage gravy, I 'm not sure if its a regional thing but I ordered the sausage gravy but that was just cream gravy with the sausage patty chopped up and added before served. Not actually cooked into the gravy. The chocolate gravy, also could be a region thing but it was more like Jello pudding just not as thick. Like some of the other review we felt the food was just bland. We went on a Friday morning around 9 ish. I know some of the things we found wrong could just be subjective based on where you are from. Service is what I would expect from a country dinner that Im used to. Food not so much.
