Feedback gevenBack in the house - here under the gastronomic offer is huge. After visiting the deer two years ago, this time the La Vigna is on the run. Here Hr. Esposito has been cooking at a high level for years, formerly busy with a star, in my knowledge he gave it voluntarily - for whatever reason. The restaurant is located on the winding main road (part of the bad wine road), an old beautifully restored house, parking is sufficient, you can also park opposite the WG Altenberg. Inside you will find a very well maintained restaurant, white tablecloths, beautifully covered, the ambience corresponds to the gastronomic level. The menu is quite small, there are two menus to choose from, various start and main dishes- fine Italian cuisine. We chose the large menu without the cheese intermediate (5 courses-66 euros). The Amuse- Gänselebermousse with Quittengelee was already a successful entry. Both components perfectly harmonized in the mouth and made more pleasure. The first band, Gamberini on Blattsalat and Feldsalatpesto, was also very successful. I was just the Radicchio too bitter and the discreet dressing couldn't catch it. (But only my accompaniment was excellent) But the Gamberini were super roasted to the point, finely seasoned, and together with the Pesto a poem. The second band, sea thorn with crust rubber, was also perfect. Again nice fried glassy, the quality of the fish was top. The third band, Wolfsbarschravioli with lime butter, was well prepared again. The aromas of lime covered the fine wolf bass somewhat too much. In the fourth course there was a Kalbrückensteak with artichokes and Gnocchi Romana. The calf super kicked, nicely juicy and on the point - especially the jus was a dream. Finally an espresso parfait and three types of Braeburnapfel (foam,Gelee,Ragout). Was also very tasty again, the parfait was strong, but exactly right, so harmonized the components of the apple super together. The wine list contains many bathing drops, of course mainly from the area, and of course numerous Italian wines. We took a Laufner Grauburgunder Cabinet (18.50 Euro), which fits very well with the fish dishes, but also with the calf. The service, two very nice young ladies, went smoothly, although many things ran this evening. All in all it was a successful evening, there is nothing in the way of another visit. Because of the quality of food, I felt the value of money as appropriate. It was also pleasant that the ambience and service were not too stiff.
La Vigna is a restaurant of the top category. I expected a creative cuisine and flexibility in the composition of the dishes. The food was tastefully fine and had a lower average price/performance ratio for total performance (service, ambience, kitchen). Ingredients that were on the map were not to be found at dressed food. The desire for an extra portion of vegetables (of course at the extra price) was rejected with the indication that there were so much else on the map (Pasta). The service worker did not know about the wines and could not give a wine recommendation to the ordered food: look again into the map It was difficult to attract the attention of the service employee for beverage reorders. Overall, a busy visit, no relaxed evening and for what was offered from my point of view too high price. Too bad.
Each bescuch in the family-run La Vigna is definitely an experience, not for free the restaurant is also called the best Italian between Basel and Karlsruhe. The cosy guest room is furnished with great attention to detail and comfortably reserved. The striking and friendly service serves fine and first-class Mediterranean dishes. From the amuse owl to the numerous different appetizers fresh pasta in all conceivable variations, refined salads, fish, seafood, risotto about the rich selection of main dishes to the diverse dessert creations of the icy latte Macchiatto is simply a dream here just everything quality, creativity, size of portions, flexibility in changing wishes... Prices are absolutely reasonable. The wine card reads like one that is the Italian Topwinzer, a competent advice and the one or other secret tip is happy to do this. Baden-Weine in different price classes are also offered. The entire ambience is simply beautiful and you feel like at home. In summer it is recommended to reserve a table outdoors; on the quiet and pleasantly shaded terrace it can be enjoyed outdoors and wonderfully relax...
Inspired by the Badische Zeitung Markgräfler Altmeister, who has been enthusiastic about BZ for decades, p.8 from 29.09.2012) with his classic Italian cuisine, we spontaneously visited this restaurant. No reservation, we had to take place at a long table we didn't like. We ordered Vitello Tonnato and Stone Mushrooms as an appetizer. The meat was great, the sauce bitter, the mushrooms drowned in the oil and no longer tasted for mushrooms. Main course: lamb very good) or salmon OK), although the pumpkin carpaccio, hidden under the salmon, no longer tasted like pumpkin. Since my wife had already eaten, her plate was deleted while I had time to chew the last bite while my plate was also removed. If you do not have the opportunity to serve two guests next to the row the restaurant was empty when we came, you should just say it and on a reservation. Conclusion: Everything in Allem, a restaurant with a great ambience. Nevertheless, we felt like a fast food restaurant at high-end prices. You can also bury new customers.
There is hardly any reservation at the moment. AB with misinformation, planned closing times, additionally unfriendly on the phone. Friends, that must be better.
