We enjoyed a typical breakfast of bacon, eggs, home fries, and toast. The staff was friendly and the food was excellent.
The food and service at this restaurant are fantastic! We were seated right away, our orders were taken promptly, and our food arrived within minutes. The portions were generous. While spending around $20 per person for breakfast may be considered a bit pricey, the quality and quantity of the food definitely justifies the cost.
Best breakfast in Summerside. Very cheap. Clean premises and fast efficient service. What else could you ask? Good house cooked food. I had her big breakfast. Eggs poached perfect, bacon simply not crisp, multi grain toast good. Coffee just not bad... not great, but good. All other people also enjoyed their meal.
I live in Summerside in the summers. We eat out about 3 or 4 times a week. This place doesn't have a view and the decor isn't extravagant but we don't go here for that. We go here because the food is great, inexpensive, when...we just want a good meal and we want to feel like we got a good deal and not spend a lot. The place is quite big and they are separating everyone with a booth or table between people to avoid Covid. They have plenty of sanitizer. They are making use of a couple empty tables and have all the condiments wrapped on the tables and you can see them disinfecting everything. This place has all day breakfast and I have had two of the breakfasts and the plates are large with lots of home grilled potatoes and onions. The eggs and bacon are plentiful, properly cooked, and I had the order that comes with 4 slices of toasts so you walk away full every time and I am a big man. They have specials everyday which are extremely good Value and I am talking $10.75 for a large Turkey Dinner (served all day) which came with lots of turkey, a tasty stuffing, coleslaw, cranberries, peas, carrots and grilled PEI potatoes mixed with onions and even a coffee is included. This alone would be $25 in Vancouver or Toronto. My wife and I can't complain about a single thing and I am going back at least once a week as I can walk out of the place feeling good and under $25 for two people and so full I don't have to eat again that day. The staff are abundant and the cook is so fast the food is on the table within 5 minutes. This is a local hot spot and is doesn't matter what time you come there are always people here enjoying a good deal. The walls of the place are full of local works of artists and some are quite well done works of art. My wife likes the Sea Glass work which has local sea glass hanging in sliver wire pieces. I noticed the work of one artist who is a very good oil painter and who's work hangs in the Art gallery on Water street, but here at the diner the work is 1/2 the price. If you just want a good home cooked type meal that you would pay almost the same price for if you cooked it yourself, I would go here.
