Benny Mazzetto's - Summerville

Their pizza aims to be New York Style, and as a native New Yorker who frequently visits the city for work, I can say they mostly succeed. I have had better NYC style pizzas in South Carolina, but this one was solid. I believe making it an 18-inch pizza would improve it even more. The pizza was ready almost exactly when expected, which was a pleasant surprise. The staff at the counter were friendly. I was also intrigued by their appealing desserts, but my hands were full and I was unsure if ice cream would survive the trip to my home in North Charleston. Overall, this was a good pizza and I wish I lived closer so I could make it a regular stop. I deducted a star mainly because it didn't quite reach the level of a top-notch NYC pizza and also because I would prefer an 18-inch option.

There is a pizzeria in downtown Summerville that serves the best pizza I have ever tasted! The pizzas are huge and delicious, making it a winning combination. Bennys also has a pub with a great selection of beers. It has become our favorite spot for Thursday night dates. Be sure to stop in, grab a slice, and say hello to Patrick at the bar - it is definitely worth a visit!

I have visited this restaurant multiple times and each time, the staff has been incredibly rude. When I requested a cup of water, they told me they did not have any. I pointed out that restaurants are supposed to provide water, but they insisted that they were not a restaurant. This was confusing to me, as they serve food and label themselves as a restaurant on their website. The pizza I ordered tasted like hard cardboard - it was like eating a huge piece of cardboard. Even my daughter commented that we should have gone to Little Caesars instead, and I must agree.

First impression: Needed some Za and beer and this place hit the spot. Cool spot right in the heart of S'ville.Vibe: Wanted to watch a little football and there was a perfect bar in the back. If you want to order some quick pizza upfront or drink and hang in the back, it's a good place for it.Food and bev: I've had their pizza at other locations and I like it. It's big slice, big pie vibes. Won't be the best pizza you've ever had but it's very good. They have their own pale ale that was also really good.Service: Wasn't too busy and the bartender was very good, gave me a free koozie!Overall: Great spot for za and beer, no complaints!

Benny's has the most consistent pizza I have ever enjoyed. It doesn't matter when you go, it doesn't matter who makes it, it tastes the same and it always tastes great. Just great consistency. Their pies are huge but you can get single slices, as well.They have a back tap room that is great for just hanging out and enjoying a single slice with a beer or two.
