China Kitchen - Summerville

Update to my previous review. We decided to give China Kitchen another try and we were impressed with our dinner. The General Tso chicken was hot and fresh, the chicken was flavorful and not full of filler. The chicken teriyaki and honey wings were also hot, fresh and flavorful.

The coconut chicken is to die for! Also I hope the owner see this. PLEASE SERVE YOUR BUBBLE TEA 24/7! I LOVE IT! I am the crazy lady that calls to confirm you are serving it certain days! It is the best bubble tea I’ve ever had. You have me madly addicted. I honestly don’t know how I’m not 600 lbs bc when I order it I always order 4 and I drink 3! Give 1 to my daughter lol. Also want to add that they are super nice people working there so kind and respectful. One time. I called of course about the bubble tea and whoever answered the phone for days mixed up and told me it was the next day. BUT surprise I got a call back almost immediately that they were serving it today. I screamed so loud FACT NO EXAGGERATION lol it was like being a kid at Christmas and getting that toy you thought you’d never get lol.

Usually acceptably sub par food, nothing to write home about, but it’s cheap so… I Came through Sunday evening (7/31 ordered honey chicken, sweet and sour chicken and lo-mein. I had the honey chicken and my daughter ate on the sweet and sour chicken. I ended up with food poisoning, ALL THE SYMPTOMS (nausea, vomit, chills, shakes, muscle aches, etc. for the next two days straight. some of the chicken tasted like it was so old, dry and some too chewy to even bite through. I remember specifically seeing 2 pieces of honey chicken that looked completely black that was fried up and tossed in honey sauce. Usually a 3 star experience, but if I could give this last experience a 0, I would.

Awesome food and fast service. Just recently moved to this part of Summerville and wanted to find a place with great Chinese food and they definitely have won me over. Great portion size and wonderful selection and variety. I plan every Friday to be there for take out. Definitely try them because you won't be disappointed.

Decided to try some China Kitchen for Christmas Eve: Turns out so did all of Summerville. The line was non-stop, and insanely long (even for those of us that ordered ahead), but the two workers kept it moving impressively well. I can't imagine how exhausted they must have been, but they did not stop. Food came out hot and delicious, exactly as ordered. Will definitely go here again.
