Italian Bistro - Summerville

I love this little restaurant!! We've been a few times over the past 6 years living in the area. We've beem for lunch and dinner. The food is consistently high quality, and staff are very pleasant. My daughters love the mussels and my husband is a big fan of their chicken parm. Im partial to their lasagna. If Pizza is your thing, Famulari's if attached to the Bistro and offers amazing pizza as well. They offer take out and a limited amount of tables for dine-in only, but its worth it! Its also really cool to see the open kitchen and all the old school and new school guys in there making the pies when you pick up your order. Because my mom was a chef, I always feel slightly anxious taking her and my dad to try new places because they have really high standards (treating eating out as a whole experience, not just a scarf down your food and run out the door kind of thing like many of the rest of us) but they also enjoyed it!Kid-friendliness: They offer coloring menus and a kid friendly menu (honestly, how many kids dislike pasta and pizza?)Parking: Because it is a strip mall with a pretty parge home improvement store, parking is sizeable. You may have to park a little far down an isle during peak hours, but we've never had problems with parking.Wheelchair accessibility: Single story with ramp, handicap parking available in front of the restaurant.

One of my number one places to visit when coming to Charleston. After driving 12 hours to visit family I always eat here. The website said they were open so we decided to cone from mt pleasant to eat. Sadly they were closed. I recommend updating hours of operation.

Good food, if you are ever able to place an order. Even though they advertise being opened until 9, they stop taking orders at 8.

Stromboli was good. The chicken Parmesan had way too much sauce. The salad that came with the chicken Parmesan plate consisted of iceberg lettuce that had turned brown. The quality of the food was better in the past years.
