Ward's -b-q - Sumter

Ward's BBQ is truly the heart of Sumter's culinary scene. As a local, I can confidently say this restaurant embodies everything our town represents. The friendly atmosphere and delicious food make it the best BBQ spot in town, consistently drawing me back for more. The memories and affection I have for the food here are irreplaceable. Every item on the menu is simply delightful. I highly recommend this place to anyone and everyone – I assure you, you won't be disappointed!

The young lady at the restaurant was exceptionally nice, polite, and pleasant to look at. I stopped by to order three dozen corn dodgers, but they only had about half a dozen ready. Fortunately, she kindly offered to make a fresh batch for me, which took just about 5 to 10 minutes. She even informed me in advance how long it would take. When I returned, she was already packaging my order. I also appreciated her willingness to accommodate my request for a dozen in each of the three bags. This is the best hash and rice I've ever tasted. Ward's BBQ sauce recipe is fantastic. The staff is incredibly friendly and attentive without being slow. I would happily dine here three days a week!

Best BBQ ever! Have you been since they first opened all those years ago? It's been over 50 years, right? You definitely shouldn’t leave without trying at least a dozen Hush Puppies! It's worth traveling miles just to get it. Absolutely the best!
