Swamp Donkeys Pub - Sundre

The benches inside are awkwardly narrow. The food is nothing special. The patio needs work and the staff are not great either.

Iv'e only been there once, but the meal was good enough to make me want to go back. I had the elk burger with fries and it went quite well with the strawberry rhubarb cider.

If you want a place to relax with the adults and have a great meal Swamp Donkey's is your place!!! Make sure your kids aren't with you as it is a pub. The atmosphere is great!!!

We went there after we arrived in town Just after 10pm. The kitchen was closed and it was wild madness inside and out. I would say there was a point after 11pm when 9 out of 10 persons were drunken zombies. I am not saying that is a bad thing as I was into that at one point in life. I'm just saying buyer beware on a Friday night, I thought there was going to be fisty cuffs at least 3 times in the hour or so we were there. I felt bad for the very young ladies operating the joint at close. I hope everyone tipped well as they probably aren't paid enough for the potential danger and trouble people were giving them.

We get out there a few times each summer on the bike. Great burgers, good service and a south facing patio.
