Our waitress and a young man who had been shifted to the front were both friendly and attentive. Ambiance: Acceptable. The restaurant had faux leather booths and linoleum floors, typical of a strip mall eatery in a less than glamorous area of Los Angeles. Food: This was quite disappointing. While nothing was terrible, there was also nothing to rave about. The guacamole was bland and missed essential ingredients like salt, onions, chiles, and cilantro. The carne asada was tough and underseasoned, and the salsa tasted store-bought. If this were a small-town establishment, I would rate it higher. They didn’t do anything egregiously wrong, but I expect a top-rated Mexican restaurant in Los Angeles to offer dishes that truly reflect authentic Mexican cuisine. Unfortunately, this is not that place."
The food is good, but with Joselitos just down the street, they really need to step up their game.
**Rating: 19/25** - **Food:** 5/5 - **Service:** 5/5 - **Ambiance:** 3/5 - **Setting:** 3/5 - **Decor:** 3/5 Overall, I had a fantastic dining experience with excellent food and exceptional service. The ambiance, setting, and decor were decent, but there’s room for improvement in those areas.
Great find. Great carne asada, best flan selection ever, never a bad meal!
I love Mi Casita! Especially her Chile Relleno Plate and Margaritas are my favorite!
