I’ve visited all the ramen shops in the area, but I always find myself coming back to this one. It seems like a family-run business, and that’s evident in everything they do. The place is very clean, and the atmosphere is calm and inviting. The staff is incredibly friendly, and the service is impeccable. The food is excellent, and if they use any MSG, I haven’t noticed it. It feels like a home-cooked meal away from home for me, and I absolutely love it! My go-to dishes are the Amazing Wasabi Shrimp and Shoyu Ramen.
I ordered the curry ramen, which was quite delightful with its rich, thick broth and slightly chewy noodles. While the food was enjoyable, I think I appreciated the atmosphere even more. However, that doesn't mean the food was lacking in any way. The restaurant has a cozy vibe, and dining alone at one of the small tables was a very pleasant experience. I visited during off-peak hours, which probably contributed to the charming, hole-in-the-wall feel of the place.
Myzen is a cozy ramen spot situated near St. John's Burger. The restaurant features a decent number of small tables suitable for groups of 2-4. It seems to cater primarily to the local businesses around, as they close early at 7:30 PM. I decided to stop by and pick up some takeout for dinner. When I arrived, the place was fairly quiet. The staff members were very friendly, and my order was ready in about 15 minutes. I tried the gyoza, Myzen Ramen (with a Tonkotsu base), and Spicy Myzen Ramen. The gyoza was pan-seared but didn’t have that crispy texture I was hoping for. The broth for both ramen dishes was a bit on the salty side, though I did enjoy the firm noodles and the generous toppings. Overall, I wasn't completely satisfied with my meal, but I'm willing to return for an in-person dining experience to see if it might be different.
One of my go to spots in the neighborhood. Service is always prompt and friendly. They have great environment inside which let's you know what you're in for once you walkthrough the door. I have zero bad things to say but I guess a hope. With the amount of space inside I wish there was more food options. The ramen is always a good choice and they have a good amount of appetizers. Would love it there was a few more options to round out the menu : .
