Great ambience. High prices. Limited Menu. The food quality and taste depends on the item you choose. I found their Hira Panna amongst drinks and Keema Pav amongst appetizers as must try and unique while Mango lassi and PaniPuri shots are meh. The entrees were mostly ok and nothing to talk about. The Meen Moilee (Fish curry in white Coconut milk curry base) was good although on the sweeter side for those like spicy food. Service: Dine in
I have been here multiple times for breakfast but this was the first time I came in for the lunch. It is a fine dine restaurant with nice interior, bar, and also outdoor dining on the historic Murphy Avenue. The staff is very welcoming and also gives you information about the dishes. They have good creative take on Indian dishes and drinks. We ordered multiple dishes and all of them were bang on target. Recommended dishes: Starters: Keema pav, Dahi kabab, Chutney dusted Panner tikka. Panipuri was not that good. Drinks: Heera Panna (Non-Alcoholic , Calcutta paan old fashioned, Aam panna mix Entrees: Smoky Baingan bharata, M4, Hari mirch paneer. Subz Deg pulao was okay. They have good desserts as well.
Sosha at Sunnyvale downtown is a fine dining restaurant. The place offers good food and great ambience. The menu has great variety of fusion dishes. One less star as it is a bit overpriced, so visiting on special occasions is a better idea. They also celebrate your birthday/anniversary in style by offering a small cake, playing music and disco lights for a minute. My daughter found that cool. Making a reservation is a good idea to avoid waiting there. Vegetarian options: Their dahi kabab was one of the best dish I had there. M4 or malai methi mutter makhan was on a sweet side so not a great recommendation for spicy food pallet. Tandoori rotis were fluffy and soft.
Great atmosphere, good food! Menu selection is less than typical Indian restaurant but the dishes are well curated and delicious. I took a away for the seating arrangement. The table for 2 was very close to the bar was close to the foot traffic of the restaurant Meal type: Dinner Price per person: $50–100
