Hook Fish And Chicken - Sunrise

It’s easy to miss this restaurant. I’ve visited three times, and each time, Sunrise is so busy that I often find myself accidentally entering the exit only lane. That’s the only issue I have with this place. The fish and conch platters I’ve taken home have been cooked to perfection. I’ve tried dining in, but I’m not a fan of the music, and the food is served so hot that it stays warm by the time I get home. While I probably won’t be returning, simply because I’ve found another seafood place closer to my house, I highly recommend trying this restaurant if you’re in the area—you won’t be disappointed!

Although there's a bit of a wait for your order and the service is somewhat slow, the fish is outstanding—extremely fresh and served piping hot. We dined in, but I think I’ll opt for takeout in the future since the portions are generous and stay warm until we get home, leaving plenty for the kids. The music was excessively loud, which is another reason to consider takeout. Overall, it's a great value for a very reasonable price.

If you're a tourist wanting to experience local cuisine rather than the same chain restaurants you have at home, this place is a must-try. Every time we've driven by, the parking lot has been packed, which is a great sign! We ordered a few take-away meals, and they were ready just as we arrived. They even included some white bread in the steam, ensuring our food stayed warm and tender—who does that? It's impressive! The portion sizes were generous, and all the ingredients were fresh and well-prepared.

I absolutely adore the cats here! The food is consistently excellent, and I've never had a bad experience.
