We had reservations and were quickly seated after we arrived. Our waiter Matthew arrived shortly after to answer our questions and tell us about the special. The menu has several items we could have chosen that sounded really good. My wife went with the night’s special, the scallops that included lobster bisque. I chose the Vogue Burger with a side of grilled plantains. We did not have to wait long for our dinner to arrive and we were not disappointed. I loved the burger and the grilled plantains. The plantains were so good I almost didn’t want to share them, but of course I did. My wife couldn’t stop raving about her dinner as well. We topped off our dinner with deliciousness chocolate fudge cake. Our waiter Matthew was very polite and made us feel comfortable. We plan on returning again in the future.
Made a reservation for a Tuesday late afternoon, My wife and I were planning on their Tuesdays Special (Two for $60). Opps that doesn't start until 4pm and we were there at 3:30pm. Nothing on there online website stating that. Our waitress asked the Chef if he could do it earlier. NOPE! When we arrived the Hostess attempted to put us at a table right next to the kitchen. The place was empty except for one other couple. I requested a different table and you would have I had asked the Hostess for her right arm. Very unprofessional! We've been here a number of times before and this was truly a disappointing experience. Don't know that we will be back!
Love the eggplant parmesan! Great food and service. They have a good selection of wines and our waiter made an excellent recommendation.
I dined at this restaurant on Saturday, January 14, and unfortunately, it was a disappointing experience. For the third time in a row, they had run out of the chef's special entrée, forcing me to choose something else. I ended up ordering the shrimp risotto, which was served with three small, overcooked shrimp and only half a cup of risotto for $25. My wife ordered a 6 oz. filet, but it was overcooked and came out closer to 4 oz. When we asked the waiter to reorder, it took an additional 20 minutes to receive the new dish. The restaurant seems to be poorly managed, and I wouldn’t be surprised if it closes soon. A Cooper’s Hawk is set to open less than a mile away within the year, and I can’t help but think that might be the final blow for this bistro. One last note: the menu states that bread is available upon request, but there is an extra charge for it.
To make matters worse, the waiter served us water with a rotten lemon and didn’t offer refills unless we specifically asked for them. During our meal, the waiter also failed to check on our food or how we were enjoying our dining experience. I ordered a burger cooked medium, but what I received was blood red inside. It seems like the restaurant may have changed ownership, as the previous owner was a trained chef from Chicago who knew how to run things efficiently. Unfortunately, based on this visit, I have no plans to return.
