Macayo's Mexican Food - Surprise

Order for a pick up.. was given a time to p/I and ended up waiting fo over an hour. Ended up with some issues The food wasn't hot after getting it home 5 min drive what we revived wasn't what we asked for. It was a holiday but a very simple order ?

Chimi sucks. Used to be better. What happed people???

The food is okay, nothing bad to say, it's just in an area (maybe that's why) where they seem to be trying to set trends or do different instead of making it more authentic. And since its in the Phoenix AZ greater metro area (suprise sun city location) and it had such high reviews, and it's touted as a Mexican restaurant, I mistakenly figured I would get some authenticity. Not so much... For instance their corn dish is loose corn with some of the good spices and queso, but not like the street corn riblets you get with cob on and the queso and more authentic like environments. Great service! And the place looks like a decent American Mexican restaurant. You do get the chips and salsa brought to the table right away though! So that's cool.

The food is always amazing whenever I come here. The servers are always super friendly. Never had a bad experience here and will continue to come back!

I don't know what has happened to this place. I absolutely loved this restaurant before.The service and food were absolutely horrible. It was mostly empty on a Friday, but we still had a 30 min wait. I guess it is staffing issues.I hope they can turn it around.
