But the food was very tasty and fresh. I’ll definitely be going back and recommend this place to anyone who wants a decent Nepalese food. The service is very slow though and the staff needs to be attentive. Took a while to get their eye contact whenever we needed anything.
Really nice takeaway if you fancy something different, the Momo is my fab! I also love the Chat Pate but it is very spicy. Will order again.
Decided to try Ama's after realising that Camberley Tandoori had closed and Ama's was its replacement. What a happy suprise! I haven't had all that much Nepalese food to be honest it has previously seemed very much like Indian. That's not the case at Ama's, with items on the menu you don't usually see, such as mutton and even buffalo. My husband and I each had a starter both were tasty and each had a thali, one of us had the lamb and the other, the pork belly. Both were delicious and great value. Something like £9.95 for an entire platter of food. One of us ordered the buckwheat instead of rice and it was a nice change of pace. It looks a bit unusual, but it's texture and taste goes great with the curry. Along with the Nepalese food, we saw the Indian classics and even a couple of Chinese dishes on offer. So, if your tastes run a bit more traditional, you'll probably be happy here too. The service isn't necessarily 5 star, and was rather slow considering they weren't busy, but the staff are very kind and welcoming, so I would say service is good overall. Give Ama's a try it's something different right here on our doorstep in Camberley!
Very nice eating authentic Nepalese eating here loves it
Me and my partner are regular customers. Food is delicious, well priced, and the atmosphere is warm. Surprised it is not busier (which I prefer but people are really missing out)!
