Curry Sensation Indian Restaurant

I'm seldom in South Surrey, but my friends and I decided to drop by Curry Sensation before we ventured out for some house hunting.__We opted for the Buffet

We ordered a lot of food tonight__Chana masala- was very tasty! Probably one of the best I have ever had.

This little restaurant is tucked away in a tiny strip mall, facing a major road. There is parking in their lot behind it. Indian restaurants are not known for ambiance or Western nuance in service, so you won't really find that here. The staff is pleasant enough, but do not go out of their way - I chalk it up to cultural difference. I go mainly for the buffets which are decent - good butter chicken, better curry goat/lamb, delicious hot naans, fish, veggies. I ordered single mains and found more value in the buffet (too little meat in the single main), BUT ordering off the menu - the food is better. The Indian style butter chicken is really delicious and better than the usual Western style. I do go back as there is little Indian food in South Surrey - My Shanti is special occasion expensive, this is more daily fare.

Today my friend and I intended to go to My Shanti in south surrey only to find out it was closed for a wedding. Vij himself was outside and was so wonderful, he recommended Curry Sensations (about a 4 minute drive away) and said they had amazing food. So obviously we have to check out a recommendation from the Food Network and amazing chef Vij! We were not disappointed! Looks like a small hole in the wall but the food and service was amazing and the decor very welcoming. Highly recommend!! I will be coming back.

Love to be able to order online. Love that they remember what I last ordered. Everything was so good. Just the Naan bread was a little burnt but they credited my next order.
