Good place_The Fish and Fries are amazing (ask for seasoning).

Had the halibut n chips _Halibut pieces are big - batter a tiny bit too crispy bordering on the hard part _Fries are ok _Tartar Sauce needs work__Malt

I'm not joking you, as the pickiest person (so told by everyone I have ever known) I stayed far away from fish until one delightful day my father tricked me into trying some halibut from here and by god the rest is history. I love halibut and chips (and later decided salmon might not be as evil as I thought because of it) from this place. The hands down greatest fish and chips joint I've ever been to. Not to brag (okay I will), I have been to a fish and chips shop in over two dozen cities in North America and the UK and no one could ever come close. It's just so sad they shut the shop near English Bay. Please check this place out! Get the lemon dill tartar!

I have been to this restaurant quite a few times. The portions are very big, the fish has never had that fishy smell or taste, always fresh, there is more fish then batter. Some restaurants have too much greasy batter and a skinny piece of fish inside. Not the case at Mr. Pickwick's. The fries are homemade not frozen. The couple who run this restaurant are so friendly and always pleasant. I only get take out but once I call it in there is no big wait time to pick it up.
