Real Malay taste in Vancouver. A definite keeper and will visit again to order a wider range. The satay, lasksa and nasi lemak are all great. Good job folks!!!

One comes to Mek's Delight for the food, and not necessarily for the service, decor, or ambience. One thing to be sure, is that the food is cooked home-style and authentic. Prices are reasonable, portions are good, and taste is satisfying. Almost a hole in the wall but a good change from typical chains and fast food in the suburb. Prices are reasonable. Have many local regulars as we are. They also serve a few Thai dishes such as pad thai. Food is also halal

I've tried most if not all Lasksa in the lower mainland and even made it at home ...this is by far the best I've had.

Meks Delight is a whole in the wall but has such authentic food.I will recommend it to anyone anytime.

Mek's is one of those hidden gem/local-knowledge restaurants that makes me feel lucky to have found it. It is purely authentic Malaysian/Thai food with depth of flavor that comes from ground-up spice mixes, slowly simmered curries, delicate roti canai and fried rice cooked by actual Malaysian people. My hubby found the laksa a little sweet - his preference is more savory, but that does not make it bad. The food value is excellent. Star off only for location (at the end of Surrey and in an older strip mall area) and ambiance, which is affected by the location. Attentive server.
