El Capo - Surry Hills

Located in Surry Hills, this Latin street food restaurant offers a fun gangster-south of the border vibe. Fun friendly service to accompany tasty share plates, every dish we tried was packed with flavour, favourites were the chicken rice and the fish curry which was sensational. great decor, I'd love a recipe book!

On Monday and Thursday evenings, they offer "jail dinner tablets" packed with tasty food and dessert for under $20, served on actual prison-style trays. It's a great place to end a day exploring Surry Hills, and conveniently located just a five-minute walk from the main railway station.

We had a great time with the fun and friendly service at this restaurant, which perfectly complemented the delicious share plates. Each dish we tried was bursting with flavor, but our favorites were the chicken rice and the sensational fish cure. The decor was also lovely; I wish they had a recipe book available for purchase!
