Loluk Bistro - Surry Hills

Went for a relaxed, long lunch at Loluk for my birthday, it was my first time there. I was a little bit apprehensive because of some the negative comments on the FB page, but they couldn't have been further from our great experience. The service was very friendly and accommodating. The food was outstanding, really something special! The menu is well thought out, and all the sauces, stocks and the bread are made in house. The Pissaladière was the perfect starter it was delicious and the flavours transport you to the vibrant South. Next was the slow cooked lamb shoulder épaule d'agneau confite which turned out to be perfectly tender, melt in your mouth, and beautifully flavoured with thyme, along with eggplant, tomatoes and olives that complemented the lamb well without overpowering it. As someone who's both Greek and French, I feel like I know beautifully cooked lamb when I taste it and this was some of the best I've had in a while at a restaurant! Desserts were also amazing, and matched well with the suggested liqueurs/dessert wines on the menu. We shared the profiteroles and a pear and almond tarte. So glad to have discovered Loluk and to have had a lovely occasion there to celebrate my birthday. Will definitely be back many more times and will recommend to friends! :

Thank's you Sarah , she is a lovely waitress working at this restaurant and give the best customer service.. this is rare now in hospitality, we had a lovely lunch , cheese souffle and salmon gravlax, duck and fish day and to finish with sorbets and chocolate fondant... All come with pastis and pear liquor at the patio outside with the sun. Merci Sarah Tu merites d'etre encourage See you next time with my another friend
