Ou Meule - Sutherland

We stopped in Sutherland on our way back to Cape Town from the Kgalagadi, and the locals recommended this restaurant for dinner. While the menu isn't extensive, it features some intriguing dishes. At our table, we chose the Lamb Chops, Lamb Shank, and a Pizza for our son, as there isn't a dedicated kids' menu. The food was fantastic and freshly made. When we asked, they informed us that they make their own pizza dough and prepare the pizzas fresh to order. The pizza was excellent as well. Our waitress was new and still getting familiar with the menu, but she delivered great service throughout our meal.

Absolutely the best coffee in town! Unfortunately, their credit card machine was down, so we couldn't dine there. Ingrid was a friendly hostess, and the restaurant was impeccably clean. I definitely plan to stop by for a meal in the future.

The food was outstanding—we enjoyed the shanks and skilpadjies. However, I was disappointed that the shanks didn't come with mashed potatoes, which they couldn’t provide. Additionally, our waiter forgot to bring our wine.

We felt like part of the family! Every dish was exquisite, thanks to the talented chef! The atmosphere was wonderful, and the staff were incredibly warm-hearted.
