We arrived to the inn and found the exterior fine, walked into the Guest Registration and was greeted with messy paperwork on the bar and brought to room 5. My first thought was the soaking wet mat that should have been used in the interior, it was disgusting. The carpet on the steps to room filthy. The room which had a wall AC unit was old and loud. Old plaid couch, gross. The upstairs loft was extremely hot and stuffy. No AC unit or fans. The small window in the other room did not stay open. I walked out to the balcony and was welcomed by contractors working on a new outdoor bar. On a return from his walk, my husband found the owner and asked about another room. She asked the woman who checked us in why did you put them in the Loft. Being that it was late in the day we saw the other room and agreed it was better. It still had an outdated , loud wall AC unit. The guests staying upstairs were sitting outside our room on the patio chain smoking. My impression is that the new owner is not experienced in owning an inn. What owner has construction started peak season? We were told that the noise was going to finish up soon and it didn 't. Bed was old and lumpy. Don 't stay here!
We booked to stay here in April for our anniversary in June for the weekend of June 25 to 27 and 48 hours before (June 23) we get an email they canceled our reservation! Email stated broken pipe. We scrambled to find somewhere else to stay since it was our planned anniversary get away without kids and luckily found something in Fishtown instead. While driving around during the weekend we decided to stop and see the place and wanted to talk to manager bc we never got a phone call and even left several messages and of course the manager or owner refused to talk with us. Interesting we talked to several couples in the parking lot that said they were there looking at the inn as well and told us to never stay here bc the owner has canceled on them as well and even some weddings! We walked by our room we were supposed to have and it was occupied. So beware if staying here u maybe canceled!
I booked a reservation online for a holiday weekend. I immediately received an email indicating that my reservation was pending confirmation. When I didn't receive an actual confirmation I called the property and was told I'd get a call back. When they didn't call back, I emailed the next day. When they didn't respond to email the following day, I called again. I was told I'd get a call back. No call. A week after my reservation request I was getting nervous because of the holiday weekend and limited alternatives. I booked somewhere else. The next day I received a Vineyard Inn confirmation of reservation email. I emailed back to cancel and did not get a response. When I called several days later I asked for confirmation of the cancellation and a request not to be charged the cancellation fee due to poor communication. I was hung up on. I have never written a negative review of anything. I am beyond disappointed in the service.
I had a great pizza here last year. This time not quite as good but the staff confused me with the wine. We asked for a wine list and we were told they don 't have one. When we asked what they had we were told they have all kinds with no more explanation. We ended up drinking $12/glass house red which we are still clueless as to what it was. It just seemed strange to us for a place with vineyard in the name to be like that. I thought I remember actually tasting different kinds of wine here in the past.
We were on vacation and went here as it looked like a great place. The ambiance was beautiful, the wine was good...but the service was terrible. Our server who I believe she was the owner... was getting high off her own supply, as she was drinking. Her speech was slurred and she messed our order up several times. There were six of us and they were not that busy. We finally asked for the bill and we told her that we no longer wanted the two orders that hadn't been served yet, as it had been over an hour and we all just shared the pizza and just wanted to leave. She insisted on bringing the two dishes and they arrived 15 minutes later and we asked for the check again. When she brought the check the two dishes were on there. Not a surprise from a drunk server owner.
