The first courses were just ok ,but some of the main courses like the bouillabaisse) were a disaster. The service was attentive but when we asked for the Cheque they charged us twice the wines that we had ordered. After our complaints they handed the correct bill without giving some explanation. They were indifferent and impolite
Highly recommended , a great traditional Swedish dinner, go for the beef and pork, great service, nice atmosphere.
It was a tad daunting to be told on arrival when seated in a cosy nitch, 'You are now sitting where Ingmar Bergman always sat '. Bergman was the great Swedish theatre and director of films like The Seventh Seal and Wild Strawberries which we had seen as undergraduates more than 50 years ago. Our charming waiter, Håucan put us at our ease and we were soon sipping a delicious Sancerre to go with the fish we had ordered. A tray of breads and crispbreads was delightful. When my wife 's cod arrived, it was lukewarm, and Håucan whipped it away and replaced it with a new one- excellent, as was my halibut, with great attention to sauces on the vegetables. Again there was a momentary mistake when a raspberry sorbet was replaced by coconut- this again was rectified instantly. In the meantime Håucan was turning chef and preparing to flambé my apple in Calvados. Every so often he would top up our glasses, although we had ordered only one glass each. So was everything instantly perfect? No. Was it a delicious meal? Undoubtedly. The ambiance? Delightful. The service? Superb......and Håucan gave us the wine on the house. Tack!
We were recommended this restaurant by our hotel and we all thoroughly enjoyed it! The service, food, and wine were all incredible! The ambience of the restaurant was also very charming. It was truly a memorable experience for my family. Highly recommend checking it out!
This restaurant is located very close to the Royal Theatre Dramaten, which is why we chose it this time. We wanted to enjoy a meal before the show we were attending that started at seven. The restaurant opens at five o'clock, allowing enough time for a full three-course meal if desired, although I would recommend sticking to two courses as we barely made it in time. The dining room has a very traditional and cozy feel. When we arrived, the music was a bit loud, but they promptly lowered it upon our request, which we appreciated. The menu is also quite traditional, featuring dishes rooted in Swedish traditions. Our group tried three different starters - soup, salmon, and shrimp - all of which were delicious. For our main course, we had beef and fish, both served with sides and sauce on the side, which I prefer. The sauce, in my opinion, is a crucial component of a great meal, and we were pleased with the generous amount provided. Both the meat and fish eaters in our group were satisfied with their choices. For dessert, we enjoyed a blueberry cake and a chocolate truffle, but the highlight of our experience was our waitress. She was both professional and personable, making our meal even more enjoyable. She was perfect, and I truly appreciated her service.
