Paleo Arctic - Svolvaer

Burnt stockfish and undercooked monkfish. Two portions screwed up. Nice plating and location though. Service as expected. When cordially brought up the issue, no action because of ”policy”.

Super fine food in the Paleo Arcctic brasserie. With a family of 4, we enjoyed dinner. Staff is very friendly, even funny and the food is truly superb. One of the best places where we had dinner during ur 10 days stay in Lofoten.

We ordered the catch of the day and a dessert, both of which were excellent and beautifully prepared dishes! The server was extremely friendly.

Great! I ordered the lamb and it was cooked perfectly, truly outstanding. My friend had the four-hour cooked steak, which was so tender you could almost cut it with a fork. The atmosphere and live piano player only added to the already spectacular views.

The restaurant's location and design are fantastic, and the wait staff was very friendly. However, the food did not meet our expectations considering the price. We have had better meals in Norway for a similar or slightly lower cost. The dishes were flavorful and well-prepared but somewhat plain and unimaginative. We ordered the grilled stockfish and the lamb, and while the stockfish was not what we had hoped for, the lamb was a better option with well-paired sides. The tart for dessert was a nice way to finish the meal. Despite being accompanied by expensive yet ordinary glasses of wine, the meal left us feeling full but somewhat unsatisfied. Overall, it was not the best value we have encountered in Norway.
