The service is consistently quick and friendly, and they are always considerate of the little ones, making it a pleasant experience. Dining here is always enjoyable. I love the romantic Italian atmosphere in the front, while the back has a family-friendly vibe with TVs for catching the football game or whatever sports your family enjoys, plus plenty of space for the kids to play. Overall, this is my favorite spot in town!
The restaurant was somewhat quiet as it neared closing time on a Friday night, which resulted in excellent service and food. Our group enjoyed a variety of calzones and small pizzas, all of which were fantastic. The menu featured some unique combinations that I found intriguing. I only wish I lived closer so I could try them all!
We ordered the cheesy bread, which turned out to be a large, incredibly delicious, extra cheesy pizza—absolutely wow! Next, we tried the deluxe pizza, and it was fantastic. If you find yourself in Sweet Home, be sure to stop by for some pizza, pasta, salads, or sandwiches! Our server, Michelle, was wonderful; she’s a local girl and even went to school with one of our cousins, which was a nice surprise!
Located at the Far East end of Sweet Home lies a pizza shop that is fantastic. With literally several selections of pizza, and many of which refer to and are for local area's and residents, this is certainly the best pizza place in this town. The wine maker calzone was what was on the menu this day along with a standard house salad. Traditionally I am not a big calzone fan, as the crust tends to get to be too much and not enough toppings, or guts in this case. However with this calzone that is not an issue. Do keep in mind however that this is done in an open flame oven, so unlike the chain type pizza's this will have a more baked and heavily browned crust than your standard assembly line type pizza. With many options available to you on the menu, there is nothing really that you can go wrong with here. With a touch on the Greek side as far as toppings and offerings go, this is also a good place to get some pasta meals as well. There are about five different varieties of lasagna which I have yet to try but that look fabulous. They also have quite a few Italian style sandwiches such as mufaletta, Italian meatball, and the list goes on. But I digress. This is still a pizza joint through and through. Lastly, there is a very large parking area, and once inside the restaurant there are several large booth area's as well as a more main open table seating area towards the back. With all of this, you will have an opportunity to experience very good food at a competitive price, and by far the best you will have here in Sweet Home.
I 'll sadly report the same thing happened to me last night that happened almost a year ago- the lasagna was uncooked in the middle leaving the pre-cooked chicken, noodles, and shredded cheese cold. I don 't understand how this keeps happening. This time we both got tummy issues within hours. The waitress didn 't return after we were served entrees to so we took our chances- bad choice. The breadsticks were overly cooked. The server told us not to order the Mac n cheese because it tasted like processed cheese...and they couldn 't serve spaghetti/meatballs because they were 'cooking '...then at the end the bill was wrong. Salads were great. But we didn 't go for salad. Not the quality of a few years ago- we will pass on this restaurant.
