Akropol Family Restaurant & Dining Room

A great place to eat or go out for a drink while feeling like you’re in a big city. Staff are friendly, and the food is always top quality.

It’s unusual these days to get excellent food and professional service like we had at Akropol tonight. We phoned ahead to order our meal, and it was served moments after we arrived, piping hot and delicious. The owner (John) even stopped by our table for a friendly chat. When we’re passing through Swift Current again we will eat there.

Generally only stop for gas by the highway and a quick serve snack in Swift Current. This time, we decided to go into town. Great choice by us! We saw people coming and going from Akropol. So, we decided to go inside. We were greeted by a wonderful staff. They seated us and discussed the menu with us. My souvlaki was outstanding. Cooked just perfectly with a hint of lemon. Outstanding. My wife was equally complimentary about her sandwich. We found out this place has been in business in Swift Current for 60 years!! Amazing. But it's easy to see why. Outstanding restaurant.

Highly recommend this restaurant for a delicious meal. The staff was friendly, especially the owner. Service was great. Give it a try!

I highly the AK special. Warning it’s filling. Great food great service. By the way. Thursday is half price wine night.
