The deal included a burger and a drink, and we opted for the chicken burger which was delicious. The drink options included soft drinks, Karlsberg, or WKD. The restaurant has 2 bars, an indoor seating area, and two outdoors. There is also a separate fast-food section and a sit-down restaurant. We had a great time watching the greyhound races and placing bets on the dogs. The betting was cheap, starting from £1, and it added to the fun of the evening. We would definitely consider visiting again.
After my first and last visit to this restaurant, I traveled from Birmingham expecting a good night based on the reviews. However, I was extremely disappointed with the place. It needs to be torn down and rebuilt completely. The atmosphere was terrible and the smell of grease was overwhelming. I don't understand how anyone could write good reviews for this place unless they were being paid to do so.
The restaurant inside the stadium was not much better, as it felt cold and the decor was dated. Many patrons were dining with their families, but my experience was less than satisfactory. I ordered a pint of beer and found a fly in it, which set the tone for the rest of the evening. The food was mediocre at best, with dry turkey, overcooked green beans and parsnips, undercooked sprouts, and average potatoes. The stuffing and gravy were passable, but overall the meal was disappointing. The greyhound race itself was the highlight of the evening, with a lively atmosphere and enthusiastic crowd. We decided to watch the final race from outside near the track, where we observed that the entire stadium appeared rundown and neglected, giving the impression that it was only open for the evening. It's a shame that the Poole track was closed while the Swindon track continues to operate in such conditions. Despite this, the staff were friendly and did their best with what they had to work with.
Wow, that was an evening to remember. from the arrival to the departure staff were polite and professional, eating was great in the restaurant and the package with a race named after them was brilliant. the price was excellent as in the evening. a memory. my daughter will remember long. thanks to all that made it special
Went with my family for a night out and a meal. £23 each for a 3 course meal. On arrival met with a smile and drinks arrived straight away. I had the pate to start with some white hard bread and no quality. Main I...had pasta which was a sloppy mess in a bowl. £18.50 for a bottle of wine ouch. The restaurant was something out of the 1970s that was worn out and dirty the view of the dog track was a building site with a dog track in between. On a positive the staff were friendly and helpful the guys taking the bets all great and efficient.
