The Bayberry - Swindon

My mother and I decided to try out this pub for a vegan meal. The waiter was well-intentioned but unsure about vegan options, but he made an effort to ensure our meal was completely vegan when we explained it to him. The starter we ordered, especially the cauliflower dish, was amazing and did not disappoint. However, the main course was a bit basic - just a vegan burger and chips that seemed like it was microwaved. For a total of £20 (including drinks, appetizers, and dessert), I can't really complain. I would consider returning for the starter and a drink, but until the main courses improve, I may have to hold off.

The balsamic mushrooms on garlic bread had no garlic flavor, the cauliflower bites were dry and old, and the donut dessert was extremely dry. It seemed like the dishes had been poorly reheated multiple times. The restaurant's vegan menu was lost, so we were asked to order online. Overall, a very disappointing experience.

The vegan menu at this restaurant offers some promising dishes, but unfortunately they fall flat with bland flavors and a poorly executed cooking style reminiscent of microwaved food. The burger was decent and the tacos were satisfactory. However, the doughnut was disappointing with a dry and tough texture. The ice that accompanied the dish was a nice touch.

New separate vegan menu including moving mountains burger food quality was standard overall, but the flower flower wings were fantastic!

Pretty standard family friendly chain pub in a relatively new housing estate. Staff were friendly and the menu was clearly labelled to cater to vegetarians and vegans. Menu choice was on the limited side for vegans (curry or burritos as a main) but the burritos were fine. Presently surprised by the dessert options, apple pie or chocolate tart with the option of vegan ice cream. No soya milk for hot drinks though. Given how cheap it was I can definitely recommend it as a regular place to eat out or stop by.
