Mary's - Sydney

I really enjoyed the cozy ambiance of this restaurant with low lighting and exposed pipes. The service was attentive and friendly. We ordered 3 appetizers and a main course for 3 people. The duck dish was particularly delicious, and we also loved the zucchini and duck pave as side dishes. My personal favorite was the Raviolo. The string quartet playing throughout dinner provided wonderful music.

For long time fans of Mary’s burgers in Newtown and Sydney’s CBD, the new grown up rendition of fine dining meshed with remnants of the old Basement vibes calls for a new refinement to our palettes.   Down the staircase there’s familiarity yet mystery as we place our trust in the stirling reputations of Mary’s and wondering what has become of Sydney’s oldest live music venue which was supposedly almost going to be used as commercial office space had it not been for the saving grace of Kenny Graham and Jake Smyth.

This is an awesome location for a small gig. Staff (both bar and security) were super professional, helpful, quick and friendly. Ace experience!

This was a fun find, the atmosphere was awesome, the cocktail was great and everyone loved their vegan burgers. Highly recommend the Marys burger, we can’t wait to come back.

Had the vegan cheeseburger. it is not the best vegan burger I have eaten, but bonus points for making their own patties and not over meat. the fries were amazing and were served with a series of dipping sauce, including a vegan mayo. would definitely go back to try the cauliflower as each beats
