Bistro Guillaume - Sydney

I wanted to love it. the venue is beautiful. It was only good enough for this price point. the service was average. the terrine was cool and would have been warmer. the aromes were only inseparable. stand out fish was the cheesesuffel that was amazing. I had the steak frites steak ok, although no char in the outside. I didn't like the beernaise sauce that it was to think and butter like. not like a sauce. husband had the minute steak very rich. he liked it.

One of my favorite restaurants in sydney. perfect place for a date night as it is quiet, good eating and beautiful decor. the steak fries are delicious.

Arrived from London in the morning and virtually straight to the restaurant. Had a lovely meal which set me up for the rest of the day. Was very busy but waiters were excellent. I was going to have fish but was persuaded to have Steak Frites which were as good as in Paris!

We were on vacation in Sydney and looked at reviews for a French restaurant in the city and we came across this gem. We were there just past the lunch rush hour. We ordered the onion soup, oysters, the lunch-only burger and the trout. Superb food, and we really wished we had space for dessert. Staff too were welcoming and accommodating. Definitely will come back here the next time we visit Sydney.

We had a large group for lunch. Good things included: nice alcove with a private table food was good (but not remarkable) wine list is good but pricy Could improve: service not particularly friendly or efficient (I know a large table presents challenges but each step seemed to take too long) Thanks
