Capitan Torres Spanish Restaurant

Delicious dishes. Attentive food servers. Their oysters and sangria are both heavenly! Perfect way to end a long and fruitful day in Sydney.

First time to Spanish and It was really good. Enjoyed potatoes and mushroom tapas. For main the Captain Torres Steak which was devine.

This Spanish restaurant has been open forever, and is certainly showing it's age. Maybe in the 1980's it was top of its game but now the food and ambience is tired and unexciting. In a city with outstanding food, this was retro in all the wrong ways. We ate a variety of tapas, none were memorable except the unpalatable calamari. Perhaps we came on an off night? However, others in the room seemed to be enjoying both the food and the atmosphere.

This place as great Spanish food as served in Spain, so don't confuse this with some Mexican Taco joint. Service and food were very good, however the interior is overdue for a makeover.

By myself on a business trip, thought I would go Spanish as close to my hotel. Great service, AMAZING Sangria! I ordered the Paella for one, $35.00 huge meal great value. Highly recommend, nice atmosphere :)
