It is one of the few places that make an effort to let you know that they are glad you have come back and "How are you"? Small thing but as an anecdote I went to the same sandwich shop for 4 years and was always treated as a complete stranger. I even had exactly the same salad roll every lunch time meal and every time I had to repeat verbatim exactly what I wanted. And it was 90% of the time the same two people. But at the Happy Chef it is always a warm welcome, "welcome back" and "... the usual ..?". And my meal is wonton noodle soup with BBQ pork - extra wontons and extra BBQ pork. And every time I appear in amongst the crowd (and the lunchtime crowd is ferocious), I get the acknowledging wave and the same delicious meal 5-10 minutes later. Simple, easy, first class.
Ummmmm.....YUMMMM!!! Don't let the food court fool you, Happy Chef chicken wanton and prawn laksa was amazing. Definitely recommend.
An excellent casual spot in the middle of a food court on the upper level of a shopping center.
Not the best laksa I had in Sydney but it's pretty decentThe broth is flavorful.
Have been eating here for 20 years. Still the best noodle soup in town! Love the real broth, the fresh tasting egg noodle, and the generous portion. Only thing changed in 20 years is the bowls the spoons and the chopsticks. I liked the old ones better, but the soup here is still the best, can't beat happy chef!
