I would not recommend nr. 1 bent st. although I had booked a 50-off set menu deal from the gabel. that was not worth it. the set menu was not available online so I did not realize that it was Asian fusion. each dish tasted similar soy sauce and chili. there was no balance of taste, in which everything was too salty. the portions were also small and during each of us got a separate servier of fish, the broth was again a chili soy sauce aroma and was too salty to have with the fish, let alone. that was dessert was the best cure that is disappointing when considering that it was only a cure. the cocktails were also disappointing. very weak, full of ice and hardly tasted. also about...read more
I had the set menu here. I feel that the taste combination does not work well at all and was extremely small in portions. Eating was extremely oily and salty. we left the restaurant hungry. the customer service can also be improved. we were not offered brot until we were asked. the tables around us were offered several times brot. disappointed. do not recommend and not return.
What an underwhelming night... was super excited to try this place out given the glowing reviews. Came here with the Dimmi 50 off voucher and now I know why it was 50 off...This place was mediocre at best. Food came out extremely oily and salty. No real thought was in the flavours of the food and I felt like I was at a low end restaurant. The first 2 dishes were deep fried and extremely oily the beef taco and schezuan eggplant. I couldn’t taste anything but oil in my mouth. It wasn’t pleasant. The eggplant sauce was extremely salty as well. This overpowered any of the garnish that was in this sauce. The quail and watermelon was up next. The quail was slightly overcooked and had...read more
Dined here with the set menu, food was good, scallops were phenomenal. With dimmi’s half off the set menu was great value check for offers, as they come by ever so often , we had so much to eat and the dessert eton mess was the best course.
