Feedback gevenDelicious punchy flavours in a sleek rich timber setting. Been a few times now, the food is consistently great. Loved the prawn taco special, BEEF SHORT RIBS (mmmmmmm! , pork belly bao, yuzu chicken, whole fried fish and red curry. Desserts were lovely and balanced. The sorbets were a refreshing hit with everyone, the panna cotta and Mums egg tart were perfectly delicate and sweet! The food was excellent and the staff was very attentive! It was our first time visiting and we tried Chef Freddie's nu bambu. We started with salt and pepper tofu and chicken wings, followed by the garfish special and char kuay chow for our mains, and finished with pandan and halo halo for dessert. The food was very impressive and different from typical Asian cuisine. My partner also really enjoyed the food. The staff was very attentive and welcoming. We will definitely be returning.
Our Saturday night dining experience at Nu Bambu was perfect from start to finish. We started with seared salmon and a refreshing salad, beef tartare on sesame rice cracker, and delicious Szechuan chicken wings. The red beef curry was heartwarming and packed with flavor, while the melt-in-your-mouth beef short rib was a definite highlight. For dessert, we indulged in the banana Nutella spring roll and the jasmine tea panna cotta with lychee granita and rose petals, as well as the chef's selection of house-made sorbets (the charcoal coconut was a favorite). Nu Bambu is a hidden gem in Canterbury-Hurlstone Park RSL, with a menu that blends authentic Asian flavors with a modern twist. I can't wait to come back with family and friends.
Former Longrain chef exceeds expectations with flavorful dishes, extensive menu, and impressive cocktail selection. The service is exceptional, and the location is conveniently located near public transportation and the RSL club. Keep up the great work!
Every Sunday it's buffet day!! Every Sunday Nu Bambu does a buffet lunch spread with Balinese music and open bar. The dishes are different weekly but similar selections will be available as a core menu. Love all the dishes especially the King Pao chicken, scampi noodles and the curry!
