Ramen Zundo - Sydney

Missed the lunch window but found Ramen Zundo still open and wasn’t disappointed. The Katsu and Karaage Don, which I ordered with curry sauce were excellent. Definitely worth a visit.

With such a vast number of eateries around World Square, you're spoilt for choice. This place had a menu out front with reasonable prices. The ordering process was pretty easy, read the menu then order and pay at the counter and find an empty table....I didn't get the happy hour beer to weekdays I think) but it's something to keep in mind for next time. I went for the pork noodle tonkotsu red' soup and pork gyoza, both which arrived hot within about minutes. Both were pretty filling and flavourful, the pork meat in the soup was very tender, the menu said the soup was spicy but only came with a small dollop of chilli paste. I did see more chilli sauce available but didn't go for it that time. It wasn't the best soup and dumplings I've ever had, but for the price was tasty and satisfying enough for a quick stop. It's small though so it could fill up with customers pretty quickly.

Took my family (with small kids) to have dinner at this place. With restless children, we went inside to make sure they were settled before going to the counter to order. The food attendant kept insisting order first! Order first , indicating we leave...our table. I explained I was on my way to order but just settling down the children at the table. But she kept saying we should order first. I don't care about what specific system they had but they should at least be able to accommodate families especially with small children. I don't understand the obsession of going to order first when the restaurant wasn't even full. We just left without ordering out of frustration over the inability of its attendants to be more sensitive. Never going back.

Very busy looked great each time we walked by so we finally stopped. Place order at the register/pay/find a seat with your number. The noodles were cold but all in all still very good dinner. They are very polite while delivering your order...and always get what you need for you quickly. Should have found it sooner!

This is a treat of a Japanese restaurant for a family budget friendly lunch. Food is fresh not too complicated.
