Sunset Cottages - Sylvan Beach

The availability of Sunset Cottages saved our central NY vacation when my first reserved place was a bust. Greatly appreciated Mike's quick response and the friendliness of all the (returning annually families at the cottages. Come here if you want small town enjoyments and atmosphere near the Lake. Note smoking is allowed on the cottages' patios (which my husband appreciated. You won't find a more accommodating and friendly management in CNY. Cottages are very cute and clean.

We stumbled upon this place when we decided to road trip to Oneida Lake and it was a gem! I called to see if any cottages were open and Michael was able to get us booked for same day check-in. He was amazing and was able to accommodate our late check-in. He booked us in cottage 32 with an amazing view of the lake and a front and back patio. The back patio faces Harpoon Eddie's and both nights we sat on the balcony and listened to the bands play. The cottage was extremely clean and provided clean linens and towels. This two bedroom, one bath, full kitchen, and living room area were perfect! We were about 20 feet from the beach and enjoyed all of the picnic tables and lounge chairs provided by the cottage. There are also grills available if you would like to pickup groceries from the store down the road and enjoy a cookout. We will definitely be back again! I highly recommend this place if you're in the area and want a beautiful beachfront view!

My family stayed here to celebrate my graduation from college. We loved hanging out by the beach and had a wonderful time staying here for the weekend. The property is nice. The rooms are cozy and very clean. I liked that they also had all the supplies that you need in case you forget some thing from cleaning supplies, dishes, microwave, stove, full fridge, coffee pots and everything. The staff was great too. Staff member Laurie was so kind and helpful specifically. She went above and beyond to assist us with whatever we needed and made sure we were comfortable the entire stay. Definitely would come back again and recommend to others.

Stayed last year and loved it. Simple cottages, private yard, beachfront. Spectacular sunrises. Casino on one side, restaurant/bar with live bands on the other. Great time! Looking forward to going again this year.
