Village Inn - Sylvania

This is the ideal spot for a break during my bike ride. There are plenty of local microbrews available, and the patio is lovely. The live music is fantastic, and the place is clean. The staff is friendly, and the service is excellent!

After waiting for around half an hour, we finally received the correct menu, which required us all to spend more time re-selecting our choices. Approximately 15 minutes later, the waitress returned to take our orders, but then came back yet again after 10 minutes to inform us that the French toast was sold out. Given that there were only about five items on the brunch menu and two of them included French toast, it was disappointing to find out they had already run out just an hour and a half after opening. This meant some of us had to reorder a third time. I also requested a warm-up for my coffee, which had gone cold while we waited for our meal, only to be told there were no extra cups available and that she would need to clean mine before pouring more coffee. I decided to forgo that. While I understand this may not entirely be the waitress’s fault, she did not check back with us for refills or additional needs during our wait. At the time, we noticed only three tables occupied, but about half an hour later, a baseball team came in and received their food quickly and finished their meal before we had even been served. I had to get my own Sweet'n Low from the bar because no one came back to our table. When our food finally arrived, one plate was missing, and I had to make another plate for the person who hadn't received their meal yet. Once everything was sorted out, the food was decent, but the service was atrocious, and we received no apologies whatsoever for the inconvenience. Given the experience, I can’t see myself returning to this restaurant anytime soon.

On Wednesday, September 20, 2023, I ordered a large deluxe pizza and an appetizer of cheese sticks, accompanied by two small draft beers. The total came to $40.94, not including tip. We waited over half an hour for our pizza, and when I inquired about our food, the waiter informed us that the kitchen was backed up and that it would be coming soon. Later, we were told that our ticket had been misplaced, which caused a delay with the appetizer. When the pizza finally arrived, it was cold. I also asked about the cheese sticks and was told they had just been put down. Ultimately, we received four small cheese sticks on a plate for $6.99. The service was extremely poor, and I felt that the appetizer was overpriced. This is my second experience with disappointing service at this establishment, and I won’t be returning anytime soon.

Great place . What’s there the other night while they were dealing with a difficult table . Felt like restraunt handled good . Wife even left a review saying how good the restraunt handled it and that table found my wife and messaged her then left a comment ?

We had Savannah this evening and she was amazing there was a table of what looked like teens that were being huge jerks to her because their food took a while. They should definitely not go out to eat if they can’t act right. Savannah is amazing and I hope she doesn’t let what these idiots did ruin her night!
