The roads were questionable but we figured we would dine at the steakhouse or Heck’s while we charged our EV.Unfortunately the steakhouse was closed. Heck’s Tavern refused to serve us because we did not have a room, must be a hangover COVID-19 policy. The restaurant was basically empty with four staff standing around at the hostess stand.DTR was a staple for our business meetings in Grand County. I doubt I’ll return as the staff had no empathy and no solution other than sending us on our way in a snow storm.
Nice place. The tables with plastic The food nothing special.
Great food and beautiful setting; interesting menu options. Don't expect to have a quick meal but it is worth the wait!
We’re staying at Devil’s Thumb Resort and decided to eat on site. The wine was way overpriced (3 x retail), everything was pricey. The charcuterie plate was routine, the wagu stew was very salty and unimaginative. The bison short ribs were undercooked, they need 8-10 hours on high in a crock pot, otherwise tough and ligaments like we experienced. Bailey was very attentive, great job but no eye contact. Can’t recommend this restaurant although we paid for breakfasts so perhaps better, harder to screw up, will write separate review.
Micheal and Garrett are amazing bartenders and the food fantastic!! You could tell they are a little understaffed, and we were frustrated for the bartenders when Daniel the manager would walk onto the bar and leave them hanging, but hey maybe he’s busy elsewhere. The burger was delicious and the wine selection great with reasonable pricing. Thank you Garrett and Micheal.
