Katie Downs Waterfront Tavern - Tacoma

The rating system only allowed me to give 5 stars, but I would actually give this restaurant 7 out of 5 stars. My family was in search of a place to eat after a hike at Mt. Rainier while on holiday from Chicago. We had planned to go to Duke's down the road, but the 90-minute wait led us to Katie's Down Waterfront instead, which turned out to be a better choice. I debated between the bland speckburger and the lachsburger, ultimately deciding on the lachsburger, which turned out to be the best seafood I had during our trip to Washington. My sister had the same and enjoyed it just as much. My mother ordered the grilled salmon and raved about its impeccable taste. I only wish I had ordered a bowl instead of just a cup of the clam chowder. The outdoor seating was lovely, and the staff was friendly and attentive. Even if you're a local, I highly recommend dining here. After 20 years of family vacations, Katie's Down Waterfront will definitely be remembered as legendary.

We had a lovely evening sitting on the deck with a beautiful view. The food was delicious, although I forgot to take a photo of it. I had a personal pizza and my partner had the guacamole burger. The prices were reasonable, and we enjoyed a few beers and a shared appetizer. I highly recommend this restaurant as a great destination for families or friends visiting from the city. It's 21 and over, so leave the kids at home for a fun night out!

This restaurant in Tacoma is a hidden gem. It's the perfect spot for a date night, with its waterfront location adding a beautiful touch to the overall experience. It's the ideal setting for getting to know someone new while enjoying a stylish atmosphere.

I enjoy sitting on their deck, the staff there always so friendly, the atmosphere makes them comfortable and want back. the muddles are always ingenious! They have two doves hanging on their deck, who are lovely and entertaining, loved to watch them.

Really, really fast service, good beer selection, and solid food. The Fish and chips are delicious and unpretentious, just as they should be. They give me malt vinegar without me having to ask. Five stars across the board.
