Hammered Steel Tavern - Tafton

We checked out this place last night. The Hammered Steel burger was one of the best we’ve had. The staff was super friendly. Definitely coming back to try the pork chop.

The food here is literally gourmet. All the success and dressings are house made. The drinks are wonderful and CONSISTENT.

The kindest, most wonderful staff, great food, and patrons that are there to genuinely have a good time make the Hammered Steel a fabulous place. I can’t love or start it enough!

I was in the area over the weekend and came in at around 8, I saw local places close early and saw this place served booze and food so it was a no brainer to try, the reviews seemed decent enough, and the pictures looked promising, however, as I entered I saw a sign that said wait to be seated so, me being a respectful customer, waited, the bartender saw me and my girlfriend standing at the door and kept glancing at us while we stood there and waited which, the least she could’ve done was let us know we can sit down or something, it wasn’t crowded or anything, a older women saw us and told us to take a seat anywhere which she was great as she was so welcoming, we took a seat at the bar, the bartender women, ignored us and conversed with what I think were other employees, and then finally after another 10 minutes asked us what we would like and I asked for food, to which she responded the kitchen closes at 7, which the hours of operation end at 11 it was just …. It didn’t make sense, I wouldn’t bother coming here, It felt more like a prejudice thing rather than the kitchen being closed as I am a person of color… I don’t know, just wasn’t a great experience

We arrived at this restaurant at 3:30pm yesterday and forgot that dinner menu started at 4pm. Let me just say the Pork Chop is so good I had no problem waiting the half hour to get it. If your looking for THE BEST PORK CHOP EVER!!! This place should be on your map. Would have loved to share a picture of it, but ate it too fast! Bar tenders are super cool!
