The service was attentive, but the atmosphere could be improved. I would have given them 5 stars if they had allowed us to use the second floor immediately. I went first and was told it was reserved, but when I returned an hour later with my family, they suddenly let us dine there. Perhaps they were just busy and allowed us to use it right away. It seemed like the staff may not have wanted to clean the second floor or go back and forth. Regardless, everything went smoothly after a small hiccup.
Hands down Best onion rings I've ever had. Oh yeah the shrimp was just good enough, its the cajun style flavors that should bring you here. Always get the medium spicy cajun mix with corn and sausage. Guaranteed to have you asking for another cup...of rice.
The moment we got there, the ambiance was already so light and welcoming. The place was compact and modish. The staff handed us some bibs and gloves and placed a large white paper over our table. First batch of dishes were served. They were Fried...Asparagus (P155), Crab Bomb Sticks (P185), Sweet Potato Fries (P115) and Fried Oyster (P165). The Bag O’ Momma Shrimps are their best seller. Its got a secret sauce with a combination of salty and sweet with a mild blend of spicy. It also has sausages and corn toppings which you can request to be shredded. The shrimps were so fresh we were effortless in peeling it. I am no seafood expert so I can’t exactly tell the type of shrimp served, but the size of the shrimp were large enough to be compared with Sugpo or Suahe. The Crabs that were served was juicy, delicate and the sauce was so good I placed it on my rice. The experience was overall unique. Prices are affordable. As for me, it was not totally messy. They are organized cause you’ve got the bibs, gloves, paper towels, buckets for the shrimp/clam/crab shells and a clean hand washing area.
The place is appealing, cozy and artistic. I first noticed the wall, it looks like a pile of books. The food is really really good! Affordable. Must try the mussel and shrimp bag o mamma)
The good: shrimps truly live up to the restaurant's name and are the saving grace. The crabs served during our visit was like eating off a cadaver. Flesh was disintegrating inside the claws. One would assume that the cook or chef would have a good...idea of how fresh crabs should be served instead of trying to pass off days old crabs for the sake of profit. The clam chowder soup was clammy. Another saving grace? Service was great. Oh, we visited the Bag o Shrimps at SM Megamall. I could not wait to visit this one in Taguig.
