Some options are good, others are place holders to be able to state they have diet inclusive menu items and you can tell. Got the power breakfast bowl and it’s just a lot of arugula and fried potatoes, the avocado is mashed and put in a side cup. What really was silly, for a small town, is when you walk in no one says hello, they’ll pop their head out of the kitchen and ignore you because they have ordering kiosks. 100% understand the practicality, and the “ding the bell for service” but also…how silly to not have even a LITTLE bit of customer service.Their sando’s are great, but anything with arugula is gonna be heavy on the greens ?
Really tasty food with really delicious fries that I put as number 1 in Tahoe. Had the smash burger and the caprese sandwich. Satisfied my hunger.
Just had what was supposed to be a Caprese sandwich. It was an arugula sandwich. I've never seen that many greens stuffed into a sandwich before. Which might have been ok if it wasn't all arugula. That's all I could taste. Not a huge fan, didn't expect it to be the main show. I ended up throwing most of the arugula away in an attempt to have a recognizable caprese flavor profile. Big fail, all I could taste was arugula and balsamic vinegar, which was equally heavy handed. Top it off with very oily bread and $12.50 felt like a rip off.Not sure I'll risk them again.
This little hole in the wall has self service ordering and a sign that gives you a heads up how long the wait is for your order based on the color of the sign. For us it was green, meaning 15-25 minutes. I can't vouch for how it is normally, but our order actually took closer to 40 minutes. It did seem to be fairly busy when we were there and you could tell the team was working hard in the back to expedite orders out. We shared a few things.... The honey musty chicky sandy, build your own salad with tomatoes, iceberg, onions and the vinaigrette dressing; a turkey turkey, fries, sweet potato waffle fries, magic cookie bar, and a chocolate chip cookie for dessert. The sandwiches were bomb. So good. You could tell everything was fresh, including the bread. Would totally order both again. The salad was nothing special, but the dressing was really good and light. The regular fries were pretty basic, but the sweet potato waffle fries were fantastic. Even my mom liked the waffle fries and she's not a sweet potato girl. The desserts were disappointing. Definitely looked better than they tasted. The cookie was very hard and crunchy, so if that's your thing you'll probably like it. The magic bar was good, but VERY heavy and had more peanut butter which I wasn't expecting. It was definitely the winner between the two, but I probably wouldn't get one again.
