It feels comfortable and spacious inside, and it seemed as if it made good use of fans and ventilation openings to keep the energy use low without feeling muggy. The staff was really warm and friendly: After performing the bilingual menu, the waitress also showed us photos of each of their participants to help us decide what to order. In addition, the owner overhearded me to post my food sensitivities and came from behind the counter to confirm what I could safely order. Menu points clearly show which alliums contain (i.e. those with red points). They do not use nuts in their normal menu items, but all their desserts on the chalkboard contain almond flour. The soup has a coconut milk base. All meals and desserts are gluten-free. I loved the carrot noodles with Turkish tahini: what a great way to eat the rainbow! The variety of cooked vegetables that came with our entrees was beautiful: Malabar spinach, okra, cabbage, sweet peas and yellow paprika. Raw pea sprouts and dish sprouts also tasted our plates. My special came with a vegan carpaccio salad with fresh tomatoes and olive oil marinated tofu. For the first four Entrees listed on the menu, you can choose either roasted sweet potatoes or multi-grain rice to accompany your meal. We were both very happy with our sweet potatoes. My friend ordered the Brussels sprouts with beet sauce, and the sauce is a tahini that also has rose petals in it. If you flash your Plants Fan VIP card, you will get 10% from your Entree purchase. We also have all random NT$50 vouchers from the LINE points that we have accumulated on each of our digital reward cards, and they let us use the value immediately. What brought me to love this place even more is the fact that they are zero waste and bring cloths out as napkins at the end of your meal so that you don't even waste disposable paper napkins! You also have three pitches of water you can serve yourself: smooth, cardamom or carnations. I'll be back when I'm in the area.
Take away requires storage or own containers. Burrito was excellent
This place is very unique for Taipei, on so many good possibilities. The owner/cook lived in India, and the food here follows Vedic philosophy. This means (among other things, that spices are used to improve health that has been scientifically proven to be effective. Perhaps clearer for many people, it serves Indian style meals that are 100% vegan to do the only place in Taipei. (Flavour of India is vegan-friendly, but not all vegan. It also serves a number of Taiwanese and international dishes, and large fusion food. The interior is very nice, at the end of a quiet, tree-bound pedestrian zone. It has free Wi-Fi and power. It's gonna be a new hangout from me.
This restaurant in Taipei is truly unique in many positive ways. The owner and chef, who has lived in India, incorporates Vedic philosophy into the food served here. This philosophy involves using spices to promote health, which has been proven to be effective scientifically. The restaurant offers Indian-style meals that are 100% vegan, making it the only place in Taipei to do so. While Flavour of India is vegan-friendly, it also offers a variety of Taiwanese and international dishes, as well as fusion cuisine. The interior of the restaurant is charming, located at the end of a quiet, tree-lined pedestrian street. Additionally, customers have access to free wifi and power outlets. This restaurant has quickly become one of my favorite hangout spots.
To get takeout, you must provide a deposit or bring your own container. The burrito was delicious.
